Leaden whimsy, the usual stuff
Man, I'm in a cheery mood this morning with that thread title.
THIRD
The plumber has been again to make the bath tap work. Once again, he gloomily assured me that he didn't have the right cartridge so it wouldn't work for long. He was right last week.
The title has lodged Feeling Oblivion by Turin Breaks in my head
The title accurately reflects my mood as I try and write 2,500 words on my chosen subject.
I've missed out as there were no side effects from the Covid jabs, which is a bit disconcerting. Could it be no immune response?
The younger you are, the worse the side effects, apparently. It's not so much you have no immune response as your immune response isn't so prone to having a teenage sulking fit. /unscientific explanation
Either that, or you're already dead.
Today I am mostly procrastinating. The delights of aggregate quotes are somehow eluding me. One of the benefits of wfh is that instead of just popping outside for smoke when faced with an irksome task, I can instead have a quick whip round the kitchen floor with a vacuum cleaner, or wash up.
The younger you are, the worse the side effects, apparently.
Sort of, side effects tend to be less in the over 55s. That doesn't mean they're necessarily bad, or even present, in younger people. The second dose is the one more likely to have side effects.
Today, I'm mostly having a battle with Yodel, who are evidently determined to deliver my parcel to the wrong place, just as they did over a week ago. It's infuriating. I contacted them on Webchat and had a decidedly unhelpful repeated response from Karjun, "I understand your concern, but we will successfully deliver your parcel today", no matter how many times I pointed out that I could see from the tracking map that it wasn't going where it should be. Then I phoned the customer helpline which, after several minutes of automated back and forth, directed me right back to the online Webchat and promptly terminated the call.
BASTARDS
#7 I have to say it would never occur to me to question two 12 year olds getting on or off a train. And I'd fully expect them to tell me to fuck off and mind my own business if I did.
I have had no (0!) side effects. But I put that down entirely to having my jab in Westminster Abbey and therefore the Lord has Kept Me Safe.
Praise be!
I don't think I'd question two twelve-year-olds getting on/off a train unless they looked obviously upset.
The Lord is, in the final analysis, your shepherd, Cords. Your righteousness is noted.
I had a dreadful headache and it seems to have triggered my dizzies again. Or that might be stress. Who knows?!
It is such a beautiful day today and the Lido opens a week from today. I am mostly trying to be more positive about life today. Can you tell?
