Sorry to non British Losts.

Well done.

I worked out what Leafs was but had to Google Habs, as it seemed unlikely they’d be playing the Haberdashers’ Aske’s First 11.

Who can forget the proud days when Britain only won a couple of gold medals at the Olympics?

All the other nations either sent athletes pumped full of testosterone and other performance-enhancing drugs, or simply tried too hard because they took it all very seriously.

Go Habs.

I loved Midnight Diner, I would eat there. Great place for people watching.

Montreal spiced steaks with crunchy topped cheesy mash and salad.

I'm impressed at general Lost hockey knowledge. My old local in Toronto was a (the only) Habs bar in town - this series would have been amazing in there.

Fortunately to even things up I know nothing about hockey.

Slightly surprised to see it was Airy of all people who went with the MASSIVE RACIST thread title.

In Netflix news I have been watching The Sons of Sam which I recommend to True Crime Cray if only so she can tell me she was all over that shit years ago.

I bought a whodunnit from the golden age of crime fiction yesterday, because I was in an independent bookshop and felt I ought to support it.

And now I'm indoors at home, struggling with the annoying fact that I need to go out the shops but it's grey and cold and not very inviting out.

I have succeded in my quest to find a little chair for the bedroom.

Unfortunately as it was unplanned, I am now on the bus with my little chair as it was too awkward to walk home with.

Ha! My best impulse purchase was en route to the Albert Hall. I bought a 4 ft high zebra-patterned CD cupboard because it was massively reduced in John Lewis. Luckily we were sitting in a box for the concert, so I just stuck it in the corner, but getting it on and off the bus (and the same again after) was... interesting.

slicey - 23 May 2021 16:01:11 (#13 of 2001)

My current impulse purchase is a diet busting nachos and chicken burger takeaway.

Cordelia - 23 May 2021 16:05:58 (#14 of 2001)

I am testing Cheesiest for the first time.

I am watching a documentary about online suicide pacts. Which I think is the same case I listened to on a podcast last week. (Bad People, BBC Sounds).

True crime meta.

I am now watching a jolly programme about catching paedos. Mostly because it's based in the paedo catching unit where an ex of mine is a DS and I am wondering if he is in it.
