I think they have internet access there, Leftie.

More medievel buildings extant than any city north of the alps.

I was once upgraded to a suite in the Holiday Inn in Norwich.

That is my Norwich story.

I once went to Norwich. Every third person looked like Alan Partridge. They were not in fancy dress.

My ex’s mum lives in Norwich. The centre is quite nice.

Tomnoddy - 13 Oct 2021 16:03:38 (#8 of 67)

Nice restaurant at the cathedral, I heard. The locals are OK.

bossab2 - 13 Oct 2021 17:06:28 (#9 of 67)

Dev Studies at UEA used to attract an interesting bunch.

Letters bearing NORWICH used to be interesting.

FleurDuMal - 13 Oct 2021 17:19:35 (#11 of 67)

Tsk.

The cathedral refectory went downhill when Jarrolds took it over, IMO.

fogger - 13 Oct 2021 18:30:42 (#13 of 67)

Norwich is fabulous.

ReverendBlueJeans - 13 Oct 2021 18:32:32 (#14 of 67)

Isn't it now called Aviva?

mingmong - 13 Oct 2021 18:57:54 (#15 of 67)

Good luck Leftie. Norwich is a fine place. It must be good to be making a fresh start.

hailesaladdie - 13 Oct 2021 22:09:19 (#16 of 67)

It is a fine city, it's official.

Twinned with Rouen and Koblenz, I see. I paid a few visits to Rouen, and also Caen, while working at UEA on an EU-sponsored grant shared among UEA, Southampton, Rouen, Caen, and a couple of other Normandy institutions.

Then, when I retired, we celebrated by going on a cycling holiday down the Moselle to the Rhine at Koblenz, where we nearly missed our train home because of a British UXB found a mile from our hotel.

Honging with blaart, Norwich.

Tomnoddy - 13 Oct 2021 22:35:22 (#19 of 67)

Construe, Lametta!

HouseOfLametta - 13 Oct 2021 23:36:57 (#20 of 67)
