Have you (or anyone you know) bought a car from Cazoo?

Their business model is entirely online. I've seen a car I like, I review it online and pay for it. They bring it to my home and I have a 7 day window (during which time they insure it) to try it out and then can return it for a full refund if I don't want it. So basically it's the standard distance selling cooling off period.

Me and Ewbles have no car smarts at all, so this seems as good a way as any - I suppose I could get the local garage to look at it on day 2/3 or whatever.

I suppose I should check whether Cazoo might go bust between the payment and the full refund, though that seems a fairly small risk.

Laz, what am I missing?

They're (part-)owned by the Daily Mail group, if that makes any difference to you?

Really? Actually, that's put me right off. (I work in an adjacent industry and boy, they're annoying to deal with)

I guess it depends on the price. You've got a lot more room to negotiate with a garage (particularly with the likes of Cazoo giving you a reference retail price), especially if they want to keep you coming back for servicing, etc.
