Zehn Punkte.

solomongursky - 12 Aug 2018 13:10:11 (#2 of 226)

Munster.

Prompted by seeing some shots of Nuremberg on BBC Four and thinking it looked appealing.

Berlin. The rest are very dull. The south has some nice scenery, but if you want that sort of thing you'd be better off in Austria.

Gdansk

Berlin. It's lovely.

Having said that, MrFleur went to Hamburg on business, and liked it very much.

Hamburg, Cologne, Munich.

defo Nuremberg, got the old town, Dürer stuff and of course Nazi stuff

Koblenz is worth a visit, good place to jaunt up the Rhine or Mosel (a cruise that is relaxing), cross the river (cable car) to get to Ehrenbreitstein for a view.

FleurDuMal - 12 Aug 2018 13:25:34 (#13 of 226)

Has anyone here been to Heidelburg? I quite fancy going there.

GrrrIbdis - 12 Aug 2018 13:32:22 (#14 of 226)

All of the above. Plus Hannover, Luebeck and Bremen.

No, but it's likely to be full of American tourists.

Ah. Thanks for the warning.

wickeltisch - 12 Aug 2018 13:42:14 (#17 of 226)

Aren't Americans all in Rothenburg/Tauber?

I don't understand the Berlin love. The Museumsinsel is great, but apart from that?

Bavarian towns worth visiting: Regensburg, Bamberg, Wasserburg/Inn.

popstar7 - 12 Aug 2018 13:44:22 (#18 of 226)

Lots of attractive neighborhoods in Berlin. The climate would do me in though.

wickeltisch - 12 Aug 2018 13:44:49 (#19 of 226)

I like Potsdam.

hailesaladdie - 12 Aug 2018 13:49:41 (#20 of 226)

Heidelberg
