A two line bill and a three line whip.

Can it get any worse?

Discuss.

HarveyRabbit - 26 Jan 2017 14:09:42 (#2 of 13449)

Article 50 notification is coming.

FFS

MsCharDonnay - 26 Jan 2017 14:10:11 (#3 of 13449)

Sorry

mememe - 26 Jan 2017 14:10:20 (#4 of 13449)

Ha ha!

Synecdoche not your thing, eh?

mememe - 26 Jan 2017 14:11:06 (#5 of 13449)

From the previous thread

"Corbyn's instincts are to have a free vote and he's very bad at dissembling on that."

This is nonsense, isn't it?

Lawlsie - 26 Jan 2017 14:12:01 (#6 of 13449)

I'm baffled why anyone can continue to support him IF they are a Remainer. If not, fine.

Lawlsie - 26 Jan 2017 14:12:13 (#7 of 13449)

Oh and hello shiny new thread.

Andyourpointis - 26 Jan 2017 14:16:44 (#8 of 13449)

Just because those who want to believe that Corbyn is the root of all evil believe that Corbyn is behind the pressure for Labour to impose a 3-line whip doesn't make it true, right, or even evidenced.

What fresh new bonkerness is this? If the Leader of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition is being forced to say he wants a three-line whip against his own will we need to call the Police as there's clearly a hostage situation going on.

Or alternatively face up to the fact that he's saying it because he made the decision because that's what he's wants to happen.

Sad for a True Believer, but there you have it.......

HarveyRabbit - 26 Jan 2017 14:16:55 (#9 of 13449)

Synecdoche not your thing

It's quite the thing for hiding inconvenient facts.

MsCharDonnay - 26 Jan 2017 14:17:51 (#10 of 13449)

It's nonsense.

Corbyn is making his own decisions.

They are shit.

That is all.

MsCharDonnay - 26 Jan 2017 14:18:34 (#11 of 13449)

I think the problem is that "real Corbyn" doesn't do what "fantasy Corbyn" would do, so convoluted excuses have to be made.

MsCharDonnay - 26 Jan 2017 14:19:25 (#12 of 13449)

Fuck. Now I'm singing "Fantasy Corbyn" to the tune of "Fantasy Island" by Tight Fit.

TheRenegadeMaster - 26 Jan 2017 14:20:58 (#13 of 13449)

So anyway as per the old thread, Corbyn has lost the support of Cat Smith? It's like losing the support of your own shadow

mememe - 26 Jan 2017 14:21:14 (#14 of 13449)

I think the problem is that "real Corbyn" doesn't do what "fantasy Corbyn" would do, so convoluted excuses have to be made.

It's quite a sight to see, isn't it? I wonder who will be the last to crack - Natascha or Clammy.

MsCharDonnay - 26 Jan 2017 14:21:14 (#15 of 13449)

"Oh we had a dream of

Momentum holding us together..."

zardoz - 26 Jan 2017 14:23:54 (#16 of 13449)

This is such a weird thing to gloat about on the internet.

MsCharDonnay - 26 Jan 2017 14:24:37 (#17 of 13449)

It's quite a sight to see, isn't it? I wonder who will be the last to crack - Natascha or Clammy.

His followers will believe in the fantasy until the bitter end.

BlankChank - 26 Jan 2017 14:24:54 (#18 of 13449)

'It's quite a sight to see, isn't it? I wonder who will be the last to crack - Natascha or Clammy'

I fundamentally disagree with Nat on many things, but nonetheless think she is capable of rational analysis, and hence presumably of changing her mind in the light of events.

Jonked - 26 Jan 2017 14:37:49 (#19 of 13449)

Why do we have to go through this every day? Labour is in an impossible position. Most of its MPs are in Leave areas and they will want Labour to march through in favour of article 50 so they don't look soft on Brexit. Blaming it all on Corbyn is stupid. If they have a free vote they look divided. If they back the government Remainers turn on them.

I really don't know which way I'd swing if I had to make the decision on this.

mememe - 26 Jan 2017 14:40:29 (#20 of 13449)

Nobody's blaming Corbyn for Labour being in an impossible position (though he could have tried a bit harder to follow the party's 'remain' stance). But a three line whip to side the party with UKIP, the Tories, the Mail, the Express, the Sun, Vladimir Putin and Donald fucking Trump?

Fuck that shit.

I really don't know which way I'd swing if I had to make the decision on this.

You didn't. Because you're not someone who sees themselves as the rightful leader of the opposition.
