Bastard ...
LadyTag is booked in for Wednesday, to say she's looking forward to it would be a massive understatement.
Did you enjoy having it done Fleur?
Oh God, yes! First my colour - goodbye grey roots - then the cut!
My hairdresser says she’s really enjoying her job at present, as everyone’s so grateful!
Awwww that’s great. Had mine done couple of weeks ago but want to go back now just for a wash and blow. It so lifts the spirit.
Happy new year to the real CMM thread!
Merry new year!
Hey money mad mates. I finally get my state pension next year! Can't come soon enough. I am exhausted! Been in some kind of paid employment since I had my first Saturday job at the age of 14. Worked continuously since then even when I was at college tho I got a full grant.
Problems with the Revenue self-assessment screen - the button for "Start Here" doesn't work on Firefox browser, so had to go in again on MS explorer. Eventually got it working. Yes, it's that time of year again.
If you need any help then I’ll charge mates rates.

That's why I always get this done in advance - so I don't get forced to miss deadlines by dodgy web browser issues etc. Get it done!
I've been trying to do the Settle Status thing half a dozen times through half a dozen years, and got nowhere. Every time they ask for a special number they haven't given me. I find this annoying to say the least; must be them 'bots roaming (charging) the internet and doing things. Will end up having to spend a dozen quid + postage to sort this out, or the Capitalist in charge will kick me out of the country.
Actually... now that I think of that... mh.
HerrWalrus, thining about it, you could have got away without paying me. I haven't been further than a mile since February!
Ooohhh, I'm getting later each year at doing this (the tax self-assessment screen).
It seems a tad easier this year - fewer strange questions like "Do you qualify for fishing tackle relief on nets bought between 1887 and 1976?" And they've worked out how to link to your paye earnings automatically.
Well hello thread. I'm now a pensioner!!! Got my first payment today. A partial one. Get the first full one in four weeks. And get this, because it's paid every four weeks rather than per calendar month you get one month a year when you get paid twice! That month is November this year. Double bubble right before Christmas. Pension paid at beginning and end of the month oh if only was same every month. Still, it's nice to finally get my pension.
I've only been working for 50 years without any breaks so really it was about effing time! Still working though. Which feels very odd. Also I'm now officially an OAP. Which feels even odder.
I shalln't be going for a bus pass on account I never use buses as there aren't any here so far as am aware. But could be useful if I ever go back to ThatLondon.
Congratulations Lawlsie. I presume you'll now be voting Conservative too?
But of course! And getting a blue rinse.
Speaking of blue rinses... did you see that Sybil Ralphs, former leader of SMDC, now 80 - EIGHTY! - and been treating it like her personal fiefdom for 16 years has finally be ousted! By her own party. Couldn't come soon enough. So many of us have had enough of her mini me Thatcher tribute act.
