Child abuse accuser 'Nick' committed for trial next month

Not sure why 'Nick' will be tried on these charges of fraud and perverting the cause of justice in Newcastle. Possibly he is in Durham jail?

Trial scheduled for Nov 19. I might go and sit in the public gallery (no actual gallery in Newcastle crown court, just a few rows of chairs at the side).

barkis - 20 Oct 2018 17:56:11 (#2 of 402)

The BBC report says the Northumbria police did the investigation. Were members of the metropolitan police among those he accused? That would explain another force investigating.

sticklebrick - 20 Oct 2018 18:01:49 (#3 of 402)

He was charged with indecent images, I think....not sure if this has come to court yet.

But yes, barkis, your notion makes sense. So the investigating team make it Newcastle.

When the actual facts of this case are revealed (and much can't be); they will astonish people. Including what has happened in the past few months.

There were many on these boards who believed this guy. And castigated me when I pretty much said I didn't believe him. I hope, after the trial, they have the good grace to admit they might have been taken for fools. Also, in line to be shamed - Tom Watson.

That is not of course, pre-empting the outcome of any trial.

He is on remand now btw. Not sure if that is known. He was on bail before.

RosyLovelady - 20 Oct 2018 18:05:23 (#5 of 402)

Bah, I want to know all the astonishing stuff that won't be revealed.

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:05:45 (#6 of 402)

All in good time....

Suffice to say, someone could make a movie about it.

SheikYerbouti - 20 Oct 2018 18:07:01 (#7 of 402)

Where would we be without Jessica to tantalise and tempt?

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:07:09 (#8 of 402)

Stickle - the CSA charges are another astonishing part of this case. I doubt (given recent happenings), much of it will ever be in the public domain, but the actual allegations are fucking eye popping.

They don't (as some people think) only relate to indecent images.

RosyLovelady - 20 Oct 2018 18:09:00 (#9 of 402)

Allegations are going to be secret?

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:10:18 (#10 of 402)

Not the charges. The charges are known - they are indecent images and 'voyeurism'. It's the details of the latter offence which would make people's stomach churn.

But as I said, the actual details may never be known and I can't say why at this point.

SheikYerbouti - 20 Oct 2018 18:10:37 (#11 of 402)

Not SECRET exactly. It's just YOU'RE not allowed to know.

RosyLovelady - 20 Oct 2018 18:11:16 (#12 of 402)

For reasons of national security perhaps.

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:11:36 (#13 of 402)

For reasons of national security perhaps.

No. For simple CoC reasons.

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:13:00 (#14 of 402)

Of course the usual suspects will always cling to the line that this is all a big conspiracy to cover up the fact that Edward Heath was a murdering paedophile.

Because that's the thing about conspiracy theories - when you are shown to be a idiot, you can just say that it's the 'Establishment' doing its thing...

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:15:51 (#15 of 402)

There was some fretting over the summer about whether this trial would happen at all. The reasons for that too will be revealed at the end of the trial. Whatever the outcome.

moto748 - 20 Oct 2018 18:15:55 (#16 of 402)

Who are 'the usual suspects'?

Bigging yourself up by inventing straw men is never a good look, dottie.

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:16:39 (#17 of 402)

The 'usual suspects' are within the Tin Hatted Twitterarti. I wasn't thinking of anyone here. But interesting you thought I was....

moto748 - 20 Oct 2018 18:17:36 (#18 of 402)

Your implication, rather than my inference.

dottie30 - 20 Oct 2018 18:18:12 (#19 of 402)

No. Not implied at all. I was rather thinking of people like the Satanic Panic merchant Tim Tate.

Tadagee - 20 Oct 2018 18:19:41 (#20 of 402)

Yeah, and this

'There were many on these boards who believed this guy. And castigated me when I pretty much said I didn't believe him. I hope, after the trial, they have the good grace to admit they might have been taken for fools. Also, in line to be shamed - Tom Watson.'
