There is no cat killer...

Or is there? Investigation into mutilated cats was concluded last year as "all down to Foxes" but rumours persist.

Horror as cat is found chopped to pieces

THE heartbroken owner of a cat thought to have been butchered by a notorious pet-killer said the experience was like a “horror film”.

Ten-year-old pet Nancy, who lived with her owners in Roundhill Crescent, Brighton, is believed to be the latest victim of the M25 Cat Killer.

Worryingly:

Snarl founder Boudicca Rising says the M25 Cat Killer should not be confused with the Brighton Cat Killer, who is believed to be targetting pets near the Ditchling Rise area.

Or is there?

No.

Does the killer respect that cats have 9 lives?

virgil5 - 23 Apr 2019 11:30:37 (#5 of 44)

Brighton.

Brighton.

Why does that bell the cat ring a bell?

I remember growing up in Oxfordshire in the 80s, there were persistent rumours of a cat poisoner.

As far as I'm aware, the study into the incidents could only prove that there was no particular pattern that would indicate an individual, and that the injuries could be explained as resulting from car injuries or foxes or both.

But given the fact that cruelty to animals exists, and that there are a lot of violent nutters out there, it's not impossible that some of the incidents might be deliberate. How likely you think this is probably determined by your view of humanity.

Cattle mutilations turned out to be quite precise. What happened?

STOOPID AILIENS

There were also the kids in school who would boast about tying fireworks to cats tails or kicking cats that approached them. Whether they actually did or not is anyone's guess but I agree, someone going about killing cats isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

Delighted_User - 23 Apr 2019 11:57:27 (#10 of 44)

It doesn't have to be someone "going about" it in the sense that it's their hobby. Just a random act of sadism by someone who may or may not come to public attention doing something else pointlessly violent, whether to an animal or a human, at some point in the future.

virgil5 - 23 Apr 2019 12:05:35 (#11 of 44)

With genetic engineering and animal intelligence enhancement, puny human psychos should be wary of their bigotry.

I live in the domain of "The Catskill Cat": probably a large, quiet, intelligent mountain puma of some type, which likes to lurk on tree limbs above paths in the woods where it can fall on its victim, breaking the victim's neck before ripping its throat open on the ground.

Meow.

the idea that there is one person going about the whole of the south of England mutilating hundreds of cats is obviously absurd. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that one or two of these incidents are perpetrated by a person.

Please to explain where I said anything different? Or were you perhaps just concurring?

Hereabouts there is a rumour that the people who organise illegal dog fights like to give their dogs something to practice on by abducting people's cats and feeding them to their vicious dogs.

Also, all the badgers on the road have been killed by farmers and dumped on the highway to make it look like an accident.

You know, rather than digging a hole.

No, that was me. Stripey bastards.

Is that near Rottingdean? It's notorious for alleged goings-on connected to Yewtree and topics discussed in the Savile thread

Is that near Rottingdean?

Not really, it’s pretty central.

InternationalVicar - 23 Apr 2019 19:57:05 (#19 of 44)

You need to go all the way to Lewes for proper Witchcraft

Faraway - 27 Apr 2019 16:41:00 (#20 of 44)

And Pope effigy burning.
