Mumsnet for Dads -Pistonhead

Wondered if there was a 'Dadsnet', have found Pistonhead (which is maybe more for blokes generally than Dads particularly), have no experience of it.

Is there a Dadsnet anywhere?

If not, why not?

Have you tried Pistonhead?

Does it fit the bill at all?

Do you have access to google? There’s a Dadsnet site run by Mumsnet.

Thanks a lot. Found it via Ecosia.

Pistonheads is pretty car-centric, obviously. The only user I know is a diamond-quilted Barbour jacket-wearing leave voter.

Mumsnet for dads is known as "the internet".

bossab2 - 15 May 2019 22:53:35 (#8 of 35)

Dads have their own secret internet in a shed in the garden.

Try googling thedadsnet (one word). Don't know if it's the right one, but it's close.

I'm just gobsmacked by the idea of a Screwfix Forum.

Well I'll bet there are IKEA ones.

I have no idea

mememe - 16 May 2019 09:03:24 (#17 of 35)

There are IKEA hacking forums, certainly

Tomnoddy - 16 May 2019 09:15:43 (#18 of 35)

But are there IKEA flatpack forums?

Thanks, Tom.

https://www.thedadsnet.com/ looks the business.

Haven't looked at Pistonheads, but read that it started out as a car forum and has evolved into a more general one.

I wonder why mumsnet is so well-known and dadsnet isn't. Just because of some legal stuff??
