Spice Girls gig descends into CHAOS as grown women BRAWL at STADIUM OF SHITE

Two fans started scrapping halfway through the concert - which sold out Sunderland's Stadium of Light.

Onlooker Gemma Coburn attended the concert last minute with a friend who had a spare ticket and was excited about seeing the Spice Girls.

She said: "These are grown women, it's a disgrace.

Could have been worse. Sunderland could have been playing.

NorthEastPlod reckon that ''"the vast majority behaved impeccably and enjoyed a fantastic night of music."

Why, was there a decent gig on somewhere?

phantlers - 08 Jun 2019 16:05:51 (#4 of 33)

Sunderland: fastest declaration, relegation and castigation.

I'm sure I spotted Shadders in the crowd, singing his little heart out to Spice Up Your Life.

But enough about the spice girls...

CaptainBlack - 08 Jun 2019 18:03:12 (#9 of 33)

It made me feel old when I saw the 30 year-old Spice Girls fans heading home at Manchester Piccadilly last week. I realised that they would have been little girls back then. Tempus fugit.

Best entertainment of the night, I'm sure.

I like Wannabe a lot. I think it's a great pop song.

90s one hit wonders though.

Gingerbread - 08 Jun 2019 20:20:59 (#13 of 33)

I'm no Spice fan, but I think we can all agree they had more than one hit.

bossab2 - 08 Jun 2019 20:26:20 (#16 of 33)

Never played on contemporary music radio though.

Gingerbread - 08 Jun 2019 20:27:26 (#17 of 33)

What?

SaffronSunrise - 08 Jun 2019 20:29:32 (#18 of 33)

this is tremendous

Gingerbread - 08 Jun 2019 20:42:02 (#19 of 33)

I feel I may have slipped into an alternative reality.

SaffronSunrise - 08 Jun 2019 20:54:19 (#20 of 33)

It's forced me to mentally recategorize the Spice Girls as niche one hit wonders whose output never got played on mainstream radio.
