Pro-meat activists fined for eating raw squirrels outside vegan food stall

Pro-meat activists who ate raw squirrel in a public market in a protest against a vegan stall have been fined.

Deonisy Khlebnikov, 22, and Gatis Lagzdins, 29, decided to eat the animals, which were still covered in fur, in front of members of the public, including young children, outside a vegan stall in Soho, in the West End.

Seems a bit extreme.

JohnIlly - 23 Jul 2019 18:27:37 (#2 of 51)

Raw squirrel?

darkhorse - 23 Jul 2019 18:28:46 (#3 of 51)

They must be nutty.

solomongursky - 23 Jul 2019 18:28:51 (#4 of 51)

It's no different to cycling round the AA stall calling the bloke a wanker.

Pixiedust - 23 Jul 2019 18:30:00 (#5 of 51)

But kiddies cried!

slicey - 23 Jul 2019 18:30:43 (#6 of 51)

Red or Grey? That is the question.

bossab2 - 23 Jul 2019 18:30:57 (#7 of 51)

Brexit foraging.

Pixiedust - 23 Jul 2019 18:31:34 (#8 of 51)

Red or Grey? That is the question.

Given it happened in London, I'm going to guess grey.

FleurDuMal - 23 Jul 2019 18:44:34 (#9 of 51)

Jesus, why can’t people live and let live?

wickeltisch - 23 Jul 2019 18:47:37 (#10 of 51)

They were probably fed up with eating swans and wanted some change.

Lagzdins, whose alias is sv3rige, trades in shock. He was behind the raw pig’s head-eating protest at VegFest in Brighton in April and specialises in a cocktail of racism, nativism, flat Earth theory, and ableism. He also reportedly stabbed four schoolmates in Latvia when he was 16.

Sounds like a right charmer.

Vagfest lol.

mingmong - 23 Jul 2019 19:02:26 (#14 of 51)

At a point in time when Vegans are already very generously endowed with self-righteousness and moral superiority, along comes this bloke to give them some more

Pixiedust - 23 Jul 2019 19:05:14 (#15 of 51)

Grey squirrels are vermin, thoughbut.

Tagyourit - 23 Jul 2019 19:07:10 (#16 of 51)

And they are, I understand, quite tasty. When cooked.

YorenInTheNorth - 23 Jul 2019 19:08:49 (#17 of 51)

I get the moral objection to eating meat but what's the objection to being vegan?

nolongerstumpy - 23 Jul 2019 19:09:08 (#18 of 51)

Grey squreels are for making into gravy and serving over biscuits, as any fule kno.

Squirrels are full of parasites, and eating them raw means the parasites have new hosts. Stupid disrespectful hosts.

solomongursky - 23 Jul 2019 19:11:35 (#19 of 51)

what's the objection to being vegan?

Rick Wiles warned that plant-based meat alternatives like the Impossible Burger are part of a satanic plot to change human DNA and "create a race of soulless creatures" who cannot worship God:

Tagyourit - 23 Jul 2019 19:12:38 (#20 of 51)

but what's the objection to being vegan?

There isn't a sensible one (other than some vitamin deficiencies but those can be mitigated with supplements), I think most objection comes from the somewhat overbearingly evangalist behaviour of a small number of vegans.
