It’s still a massive steaming pile of shit

SinnerBoy - 06 Sep 2019 23:13:17 (#2 of 2226)

I admire your optimistic outlook.

widenation - 06 Sep 2019 23:22:59 (#3 of 2226)

I'm told that my town will become a "Special Economic Zone" under Brexit by the Reading East Tory candidate - or at least he will campaign for it to become one. He doesn't really go into much detail.

solomongursky - 06 Sep 2019 23:23:54 (#4 of 2226)

Grimsby asking for a Brexit Exemption. I might apply for one.

YorenInTheNorth - 06 Sep 2019 23:26:25 (#5 of 2226)

Have we not had this title already?

SinnerBoy - 06 Sep 2019 23:28:12 (#6 of 2226)

Yes, they want no foreigners, no freedom of movement etc, but because it'll be bad for them, they still want Brexit. But with special conditions, only for them, so that all the bad Brexity stuff doesn't hurt them.

But still with Brexit. And added no foreigners. Apart from perhaps the Baltic Russians, who keep the factories running.

As long as they can't get council mansions and five grand a week dole.

Grimsby man with Nazi boxer shorts:

SinnerBoy - 06 Sep 2019 23:31:30 (#8 of 2226)

Hugo Boss?

solomongursky - 06 Sep 2019 23:40:08 (#9 of 2226)

I suppose Hitler boxer shorts would be extra roomy.

YorenInTheNorth - 06 Sep 2019 23:44:46 (#10 of 2226)

For him maybe.

solomongursky - 06 Sep 2019 23:53:32 (#11 of 2226)

Because of the missing testicle.

YorenInTheNorth - 07 Sep 2019 00:11:28 (#12 of 2226)

Aye.

YorenInTheNorth - 07 Sep 2019 00:11:58 (#13 of 2226)

BTW it was bad form to start the thread without seeking consensus on the thread title.

darkhorse - 07 Sep 2019 09:41:39 (#14 of 2226)

Shall we just ignore this thread then, let it slip down the list?

Oops

thisonehasalittlehat - 07 Sep 2019 09:52:35 (#15 of 2226)

This is a shot thread and for cuts.

darkhorse - 07 Sep 2019 09:54:52 (#16 of 2226)

The logic at restarting at 10K was that (apparently, I never had the problem) large threads take a long time to load, so for users with slower connections it was a benefit to start a new one.

Is this still a problem for some users?

RosyLovelady - 07 Sep 2019 10:07:54 (#17 of 2226)

Well yes, in he sense that the longer a thread gets, the slower it is to load, and this can be a bit annoying.

tasselhoff - 07 Sep 2019 10:08:37 (#18 of 2226)

It has to get to about 20k before it starts getting noticeable.

RosyLovelady - 07 Sep 2019 10:09:44 (#19 of 2226)

Surely it's noticeable much sooner than that?

darkhorse - 07 Sep 2019 10:10:30 (#20 of 2226)

I haven't noticed anything, that's why I asked!
