From the twitter pics, not a high-rise, more an apartment block of say six floors. Fire did look nasty, but hopefully they got all residents out safely.

Something that I’m a little concerned about in the current situation. A lot of the neighbours have seemingly moved away to family in the country (or second homes?). If a fire did break out it may have too much time before the alarm is raised.

Yes it was reported on BBC local news on Friday.

Some utter bellend decided it was a good idea to have a BBQ on their balacony.

If that is the case, and this BBQ contravenes the terms of the lease, then the building insurers could well be after them for recompense.
