Carry on.

Are pubs that can't open/choose not to open, able to get grants if the area is Tier 2?

darkhorse - 28 Nov 2020 14:11:55 (#3 of 10092)

Need to cut "the" from the header in order to get it to scan with the original song.

solomongursky - 28 Nov 2020 14:12:04 (#4 of 10092)

Yeah.

These are UK's 3 tiers:

Pint

Pint and chips

No pint

Look to the future now, we’re all in tier one!

sorry. I shall leave you to it now.

Disagree. It's not an exact syllable match, but 'the Va' are soft and take about the same time as 'Me' in Merry Christmas.

Happy to ask for it changed, though, if that's what the majority want.

tasselhoff - 28 Nov 2020 14:25:00 (#7 of 10092)

I vote change

Brilliant.

FleurDuMal - 28 Nov 2020 14:25:45 (#9 of 10092)

Definitely remove ‘the’.

AlanII - 28 Nov 2020 14:26:38 (#10 of 10092)

I'd go for the title change and add Cordelia's second line but, it's your thread, Natascha, ask for what you want.

Yersinia - 28 Nov 2020 14:30:13 (#11 of 10092)

We're all going be sick of the continual earworm from seeing the thread title within a few days, either way.

Natascha - 28 Nov 2020 14:30:24 (#12 of 10092)

I've asked for the header to be changed to: Corona IX: Here it is, vaccination. Everybody's having fun.

Cordelia's addition is brilliant, but have of the fun of the title is that it is such a characteristic metre that you immediately know that you know it's a song, but have to spend a couple of seconds figuring out which song it is and the fact that it is a Christmas song without actually mentioning Christmas.

Also, it's already quite a long title

15,871 cases and 479 deaths recorded today. Definite fall in the cases (and hospitalisation numbers are falling, though not as far yet), but the deaths still result from infections nearer the peak.
