Maybe there's a street full of black cars in Redcar.

Jacob_Richter - 18 Feb 2021 14:15:27 (#3 of 55)

Get thee to google street view!

solomongursky - 18 Feb 2021 14:15:28 (#4 of 55)

What would be hilarious is if they found lots of blokes wearing Oxford shirts in Redcar! (Cleveland)

solomongursky - 18 Feb 2021 14:17:35 (#5 of 55)

Oh, somebody's already used that gag chiz.

ReverendBlueJeans - 18 Feb 2021 14:40:12 (#6 of 55)

The figures suggest red is just the sixth most popular colour for drivers, behind black, silver, blue, grey and white.

carterbrandon - 18 Feb 2021 15:21:39 (#11 of 55)

So blue and red are the only actual colours people bother with?

bossab2 - 18 Feb 2021 15:23:46 (#12 of 55)

Yes.

Green is deeply unfashionable

bossab2 - 18 Feb 2021 15:25:07 (#13 of 55)

Minority interest.

Buy a green Mondeo and lose lots of money

Snarlygog - 18 Feb 2021 15:26:11 (#14 of 55)

<Cough> British Racing Green is the default colour for Bentley blowers and serious sports cars.

bossab2 - 18 Feb 2021 15:27:48 (#15 of 55)

Theres a sort of caramel colour which is currently in vogue.

carterbrandon - 18 Feb 2021 15:28:05 (#16 of 55)

When a new car is launched with an ad campaign, they tend to major on just the one colour for it. I think there was a Skoda Fabia incarnation where green was the chosen colour.

Tenesmus - 18 Feb 2021 15:29:20 (#17 of 55)

My car is British Racing Green.

Maybe not such a good idea along these leafy lanes.

not a Bentley

The Fiat 500 comes in a particularly nasty shade of clay / surgical bandage. I don't see the sense in disfiguring a pretty car.

Fashions change -- imagine a street full of these:
