If they get any more colourful bus shelters in Withernsea they'll die of excitement.

There's been some excitement in Bridlington at least:

A fan of an iconic visitor attraction in Bridlington now has a permanent reminder of the experience – a tattoo on his arm.

“ “This last year has been tough, with the pandemic, the uncertainty, and the hate and ridicule we’ve received and continue to receive from some for our appeal.”

What appeal? I can’t see anything in the article about this.

Herefordshire Council spent Government funding putting plants on top of three bus shelters in the city, which a councillor said shows the administration’s commitment to tackling a climate and ecological emergency.

Ah, yes. They must have had a fundraising appeal to help them through the pandemic. I’d read it as being attacked for their appeal as in some people didn’t like it that they were popular with others. Which I thought was weird. But it is East Yorkshire.

#13 has sent the Dixon's apologists into fits of rage. Reach appear to be going out of their way to enrage the local gammon.

For those not familiar with it, Dixon's milk ice is a local brand which people of a certain age love more than their children. It's basically frozen sweetened milk and is probably the most insipid "ice cream" you've ever encountered, but voicing that opinion in town is likely to result in ABH.
