Graham Stringer, Jon Cruddas.

Don't know about the other one but probably someone from the red wall who feels the need to bow and scrape to the gammon mentality.

In fairness, Stringer is more of a UKIPPer anyway. Generally I'm fond of a 'big tent' party but I haven't the foggiest what he is doing in Labour. Climate denier, human rights act hating, anti-lockdown brexiteer that he is.

Tinymcsmithy - 03 Oct 2021 07:56:28 (#2 of 36)

Keir Starmer

fogsake - 03 Oct 2021 07:57:13 (#3 of 36)

They may as well all go.

DesEsseintes - 03 Oct 2021 07:58:46 (#4 of 36)

Wes Streeting, possibly. I don't think Jess Phillips would, but you never know.

Moschops - 03 Oct 2021 08:02:25 (#5 of 36)

Sounds like bullshit to me

Tinymcsmithy - 03 Oct 2021 08:03:44 (#6 of 36)

I suspect this is bollocks.

But if right wingers are leaving for the Tory Party, even as a result of purging the left, any half-brained leadership should know they are going in the wrong direction.

Arjuna - 03 Oct 2021 08:07:09 (#7 of 36)

Jeremy Corbyn

Diane Abbott

John McDonnell

Tinymcsmithy - 03 Oct 2021 08:08:39 (#8 of 36)

I suppose it could just be another faction manoeuvring to unseat Starmer (and Raynor, as she was mentioned also).

The piece reads like a regurgitated leaked memo.

Could even be Starmer’s own advisors getting fed up with his lack of personality and wanting a change. Now the 20% threshold has been implemented, they’ve guaranteed a return to social democracy.

Dementor - 03 Oct 2021 08:13:45 (#9 of 36)

… they’ve guaranteed a return to social democracy.

Let’s hope so.

Tinymcsmithy - 03 Oct 2021 08:16:41 (#10 of 36)

Ah sorry, that should read guaranteed no return to social democracy.

Tinymcsmithy - 03 Oct 2021 08:55:18 (#11 of 36)

I mean the Blairites don’t even want any form of democracy.

Moschops - 03 Oct 2021 09:06:37 (#12 of 36)

Don't they?

machiavelli - 03 Oct 2021 09:07:15 (#13 of 36)

The sort that needs coppers in the aisles.

barkis - 03 Oct 2021 09:09:46 (#15 of 36)

They've guaranteed a return to social democracy.

That would take a leftward lurch.

Tinymcsmithy - 03 Oct 2021 10:58:21 (#16 of 36)

I refer you to post #10.

surferboogiewhatever - 03 Oct 2021 10:02:02 (#17 of 36)

Jeremy Corbyn

I kind of want him to try it now, just to mess with their heads.

CaptainBlack - 03 Oct 2021 11:07:43 (#18 of 36)

I wish about 80% of them would go.

1MELSM - 03 Oct 2021 15:22:49 (#19 of 36)

What is the future for a Labour MP? There'll be a certain satisfaction to be had, I imagine, but more relevant is what they imagine.

Jacob_Richter - 03 Oct 2021 15:35:59 (#20 of 36)

I suspect the story is nonsense. It would be funny if true.
