Outrage as Conservative Club stages DEATH WRESTLING match in front of children

A violent "death match" wrestling event which was staged in front of families is being investigated by police. The show at the Conservative Club in Seaham, County Durham, on 29 April saw blood-soaked performers attack each other with a GARDEN STRIMMER and GLASS in front of terrified tots.

The Colliery Championship Wrestling (CCW) event did not advertise it would be a so-called death match and had offered discounted family tickets. James Barrass of CCW apologised but said the audience had enjoyed it.

But little kids love wrestling

Footage taken during the event showed the two performers being cut with the gardening tool and having glass lighting tubes smashed over them...

'When does the bingo start?'

Where can I see this?

TheExcession - 12 May 2022 21:31:06 (#5 of 23)

I'm just disappointed that the death match wasn't between Tories.

Bloody hell.

Loving the bored woman in the second pic on her phone.

She might have been trying to get a better camera angle.

RosyLovelady - 13 May 2022 11:07:53 (#8 of 23)

Surely this used to be more of a quirky, LibDem sort of thing for consenting adults in private.

ReverendBlueJeans - 13 May 2022 11:29:42 (#9 of 23)

The bored woman clearly wasn't impressed by people battering each other with strimmers and light fittings; presumably she can see all that at home.

The strimmer does seem an odd choice of weapon

You would need a long cord and might get tangled up

'The victim, who is described as "comfortable and stable", suffered multiple cuts and abrasions but had very neat borders.'

I assume somebody wanted a chainsaw but was told "will this do?"

DesEsseintes - 13 May 2022 11:45:18 (#13 of 23)

We have apologised but how many times do you say sorry? How many times do you have to be penalised in life?

rotflmao as the young people say

HouseOfLametta - 13 May 2022 11:45:18 (#14 of 23)

I think it's absolutely disgraceful. What sort of parent would allow children in a conservative club?

fogsake - 13 May 2022 11:46:26 (#15 of 23)

I'd enjoy some kitchen appliances. Addie off Z Nation mercied with a handmixer once. Brilliant. An immersion blender might be better for live entertainment.

Aspirational UKippers.

Kitchen requisites as defensive weapons:

There's a scene in, I think, Battle of the Sexes where the Peter Sellers character creeps up behind someone in a kitchen with murderous intent, reaches into a drawer for a knife, and makes a vicious stabbing gesture which he has to abort because he's actually grabbed an egg whisk. Egg whisks would be great in a 'death match'.

Promoters will advertise future events of this nature as designed for 'mature audiences only'.

It's a heckuva usage of 'mature', but ferr enuff.

Norman Tebbit in Spitting Image would use a food processor on the hands of recalcitrant MPs.

RosyLovelady - 13 May 2022 11:55:13 (#20 of 23)

Yes, Norman Tebbit was once a villain but then he became a national hero by the power of the Brighton Bombing.
