Global Cooling! We're Doomed!

Al Gore better hit F2 and replace the word "warming" with "cooling" on all of his powerpoint presentations ...

I'm buying cattle and overfeeding them to save the environment.

Ah, the Daily Star. A Newtonian paragon of scientific rigour.

Poor old Geri.

Never the same after the Spice Girls.

Snarlygog - 08 May 2017 18:52:42 (#4 of 231)

The Pulitzer winning Daily Star.

Geribaldi - 08 May 2017 18:54:03 (#5 of 231)

I smell money.

I am going to set up a carbon trading scheme where I get people to pay other people to emit CO2 to offset their reduction in CO2. I am going to put kiosks in airports like at SFO.

Biggest money-making scam since religion!

TinyMcOtter - 08 May 2017 18:55:13 (#6 of 231)

That's the 'authoritative' Daily Star, if you don't mind.

Gotout - 08 May 2017 18:56:09 (#7 of 231)

Global Weather Oscillations? I've not heard of that bunch of comics.

cozzer - 08 May 2017 18:57:52 (#8 of 231)

It's not even the fact that it's in the Daily Star that matters. It's just a standard brainless objection to climate change theory. It would be perfectly possible for the planet as a whole to warm, while the UK experiences local cooling. It doesn't invalidate man-made climate change as a theory.

invicta - 08 May 2017 18:59:10 (#9 of 231)

Yup. Climate change bringing instability. Hence the lack of rain..

HouseOfLametta - 08 May 2017 19:02:37 (#10 of 231)

That's summer.

I'm reserving my position until I know what the National Enquirer says.

Geribaldi - 08 May 2017 19:15:01 (#11 of 231)

cozzer - "It doesn't invalidate man-made climate change as a theory."

I never said it did.

But I assume you can guarantee that the earth won't be cooling over the next few decades?

Garden - 08 May 2017 19:19:49 (#12 of 231)

Is the Daily Star like the Daily Caller?

Geribaldi - 08 May 2017 19:34:14 (#13 of 231)

Hey Garden, how is Rachel? Have you bowed down and prayed to her today?

indlovubill - 08 May 2017 19:56:51 (#14 of 231)

It would be perfectly possible for the planet as a whole to warm, while the UK experiences local cooling.

This article reports some cooling in the North Atlantic whilst the worldwide trend is onwards and upwards.

Click that link while it's...erm...hot. Trump & Co. are bound to have it pulled soon.

FluffyKitten - 08 May 2017 20:07:46 (#16 of 231)

10 points.

Garden - 08 May 2017 20:17:52 (#17 of 231)

Well, really, Fluffy, there's a narrow pool from which to choose.

AmericanWoman - 08 May 2017 20:53:19 (#18 of 231)

We had to put the heat on the other morning.

In May.

In Georgia!

FluffyKitten - 08 May 2017 20:59:40 (#19 of 231)

True, Garden. But it is Monday.

AdrianNTierney - 08 May 2017 21:01:50 (#20 of 231)

Actually, climate's stopped being a scientific endeavor, and started becoming a religion.

And apostasy, or disbelief, is now met with pitchforks, torches, and scenes of public scandalizing. See last week's NY Times for just the latest example.
