The Trump probe

To discuss the investigation and findings of the special prosecutor.

Bleu11 - 19 May 2017 00:20:29 (#1 of 47)

Rosenstein declined to say who asked him to write the memo, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) said.

White House officials originally said Comey’s firing came at the recommendation of Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, but President Donald Trump later undercut that argument when he told NBC News he planned to fire Comey regardless.

Trump then appeared to reverse himself and cited Rosenstein's memo during a Thursday afternoon press conference with the Colombian president.

Talking of special prosecutors, nobody does it better ...

I was going to refer to that very thing, Bleu, but you beat me to it. Did you see the media ask the senators as they were leaving the briefing? They asked that very question: Did Rosenstein make clear that he knew Comey was going to be fired before he wrote the memo?

Every single Democrat answered with one word: "yes." while the Republicans - even Graham - gave the expected weasel answers..."um...not sure..." Rubio was particularly slippery.

Every single Democrat answered with one word: "yes."

You see? Groupthink!

Bleu11 - 19 May 2017 01:25:07 (#5 of 47)

I didn't see it on TV but I see it is here:

Trump probe?

Is there another Russian video out there?

LaLady - 19 May 2017 01:50:09 (#8 of 47)

Unfortunately, that doesn't show them being asked about the memo...I think I saw it on CNN. I'll see if I can find it.

LaLady - 19 May 2017 02:07:51 (#9 of 47)

Gah! I can't find it. I saw it only this afternoon!

Sorry, I'm outta here. Been on this machine all day...

TinyMcOtter - 19 May 2017 02:09:19 (#10 of 47)

Is this the thread for alien abductions?

Garden - 19 May 2017 02:40:58 (#11 of 47)

I was wondering the same thing, Tiny.

Probing, probing; there's going to be so much probing that Krusty will be totally sick of probing by the time it's all done.

“I respect the move, but the entire thing has been a witch hunt. There is no collusion – certainly myself and my campaign – but I can always speak for myself and the Russians – zero,” he said at a joint press conference with the Colombian president, Juan Manuel Santos.

He'll try to chuck someone else under the bus.

Apparently he's getting these lines straight off of Fox news. He's so fucking common, he watches Fox and gets angry. Loser!

AdrianNTierney - 19 May 2017 16:17:47 (#15 of 47)

The hilarious part of all this is that just a few months ago all of the Democrats were screaming for Comey's head. Now that Comey's been 'beheaded', they're all Comey partisans.

But note that no one questions the absolute right of the President to fire Comey for any reason. Or none at all.

Moschops - 19 May 2017 16:18:30 (#16 of 47)

Christ, talk about missing the point.

This, and his 407 word vocabulary are two abiding indicators of this dismal idiot.

He's got the best 407 word vocabulary. Everyone says so.
