So far from God, so close to Canada.

Heh. The Donald is truly, bigly, thick as mince.

"Oi! I heard that!"

Oops... sorry, mince.

Always sad to see a great empire rot from within.

At least Nero could hold down a tune.

Garden being so defensive, even Trump gets a pass.

Nothing if not predictable, our one-note Anarchy.

More oxymorons than you can shake a stick at.

Be off with you, you mucky stick-shaker.

I like Anarchy.

moto748 - 12 Sep 2017 22:08:16 (#13 of 57)

I liked it too, but it went downhill badly in the last couple of seasons

SirensOfAcreLane - 12 Sep 2017 22:20:59 (#14 of 57)

I like Garden, and Anarchy. More precisely I respect both posters, even if my own view is different. I dare to say I think you two would have more in common in a progressive sense, were you to get past whatever it is that has you rubbing each other up the wrong way. But, I'm not getting in the middle of your long running disputes, I'm not crazy!

Anarchy, you weren't to know, but that todo we had about Lawls wasn't a serious accusation, it was about how absurd it seemed to me to hear the accusations against Corbyn at that time. To be clear, I didn't and don't believe Lawls was racist, unfortunately, your good deed diverted my attention. Sorry Lawls, if you're reading this.

I like anarchy. I find obsessions annoying.

Many Americans get lots of things. I don't think anarchy gets that.

Most of us don't spend our lives stereotyping other people and applying metrics of patriotism to them.

SirensOfAcreLane - 12 Sep 2017 22:34:20 (#18 of 57)

Anarchy, a while back when you were trying to find out who I was, clicked on my username and found a rude surprise...but I sensed you took that aspect as the joke I intended. All's well then :-)

SirensOfAcreLane - 12 Sep 2017 22:36:49 (#19 of 57)

I think it's cultural. It's in a Brit's nature to not be patriotic. And to ridicule that kind of thing.

Tend to agree, though overly patriotic Brits are as bad as their American counterpart, imo. Worse in some ways because they also tend to be the same idiots with their noses up the very worst kind of American pols.

mingmong - 12 Sep 2017 22:37:08 (#20 of 57)

Stones, glasshouses etc

At this present time we (in the UK) are in no position to give anyone else any lectures about mad shit delivered by the electorate
