Fears as Nebraska woman sues ALL gay people, wants judge to rule if homosexuality is a sin

Sylvia Driskell, a 66-year-old woman from Auburn, Nebraska, filed a federal lawsuit last week titled Driskell v. Homosexuals. Driskell, acting as her own lawyer and the ambassador of “God, And His, Son Jesus Christ,” would like the District Court in Omaha to determine whether being gay is a sin. She did not cite any previous court cases in her petition, which is seven pages long and written in cursive, instead relying on the consul of Merriam-Webster and the Bible. Driskell asks, “Why are judges passing laws, so sinners can break religious, and moral laws. Will all the judges of this Nation, judge God to be a lier [sic].”

In these troubled times a bit of gaiety is very welcome.

the ambassador of “God, And His, Son Jesus Christ,”

Why did she leave out the Holy Ghost? Does she think he was gay?

wickeltisch - 19 May 2020 14:36:17 (#6 of 33)

And doesn't she think it strange that Jesus never married but surrounded himself with 12 men instead?

FleurDuMal - 19 May 2020 14:36:43 (#7 of 33)

Why did she leave out the Holy Ghost? Does she think he was gay?

Well he put the willies up people ...

I thought we already knew that being gay was a sin.

Surely it's the best part.

TheExcession - 19 May 2020 14:38:26 (#9 of 33)

She clearly missed out the bits about seperation of church and state in the US, then?

Driskell, acting as her own lawyer and the ambassador of “God, And His, Son Jesus Christ,”

Isn't it a bit of a no no to claim to speak on Gods behalf?

I don't know really. The Pope does on behalf of Catholics or something.

Merriam-Webster may want to dissociate itself from the case after seeing her spelling.

jamalade - 19 May 2020 14:48:38 (#13 of 33)

She's now 71, how's she been since?

wickeltisch - 19 May 2020 14:55:04 (#14 of 33)

#12 Not to forget her use of commas.

champagnerocker - 19 May 2020 15:17:27 (#15 of 33)

The judge should award her damages of ten cents...

and then fine her $10,000 for wearing mixed fabrics [Lev 19:19] and $100 for every time she has failed to sacrifice a pair of doves after menstruating [Lev 15:29].

Tadagee - 19 May 2020 15:18:48 (#16 of 33)

Don't forget the shellfish. A bloody abomination.

Why did she leave out the Holy Ghost?

She's descended from Visigothic stock and subscribes to the Aryan heresy?

tasselhoff - 19 May 2020 15:37:14 (#19 of 33)

He doesn't do much does he? What's the point of a holy trinity if one part of it doesn't pull its weight?

He's the best character in A Christmas Carol.
